Summer Grazing Boards

Summer is here, and the open-invitation to play stands.  These summer grazing boards offer a great opportunity to play with your food. Use your instincts about color combinations and texture combinations to arrange enticing summer grazing boards. Cooking is overrated. Take a trip to the farmer's market. Let vibrant colors inspire the fresh produce your select. Pick up some delicious cheeses or make your own creamy vegan dips. There are no rules. This is play!

I put together these grazing boards for my inaugural blog photoshoot with Morgan of Morgan Lynn Photography the last time I visited my best friend, Fiona and her beautiful family at their home in Texas.  I had grand plans to cook and assemble noodle bowls for the shoot, but I let those plans go in favor of enjoying quality time with my chosen family.

Grazing boards were the perfect solution for this shoot, both for their photogenic appeal and for providing easy-to-access nibbles to all the beautiful people who starred in this shoot.  With the exception of roasting a few Brussels sprouts, prepping these boards took minimal effort. Just some fruit and veggie slicing, package-opening, and food-arranging.

If you're not already playing with your food, you should definitely start. Grazing boards are a big, beautiful trend right now, and they can be a great way to entice young eaters to try something new.  What I love most about grazing boards are the seemingly endless combinations you can put together to make each and every bite unique.  Lots of love and gratitude to Fiona and Andre for hosting this photo shoot in their beautiful home.  Extra special thanks to Fiona for lovingly supporting me on my journey, for grooming and styling her gorgeous children, and for co-starring with me in this milestone photoshoot. XOXO
